WHAT YOU NEED
FOR THE ROLLS
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 tsps granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
4 tablespoons cold butter, cut into cubes
1/3 cup whole milk
For the cinnamon filling
½ cup choc chips
2 tbsps melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Cream Cheese Icing
FOR THE ICING
4 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp butter, softened
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon milk, if needed
WHAT TO DO
Preheat the air fryer to 160’C. Grease a cake pan. Add the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to a mixing bowl. Stir together. Add the butter and use your fingers to smash the butter into the flour mixture until it looks like damp sand. Stir in the milk. The dough should come together in a soft clump. Place the dough on a floured counter and roll out into a rectangle. Spread the butter on the dough then mix the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the butter. Now scatter the chocolate chips.
Start at one of the short sides of the dough and roll it up into a log.
Lightly spray the basket/cake pan of your air fryer with a spray cook. Cut the log into 6 sections and place them into the cake pan.
Place the pan into the air fryer basket and bake for 10 to 14 minutes.
Place the cream cheese and the butter in a bowl and stir well.
Add the icing sugar and vanilla and stir until creamy. Stir in the milk if you want a thinner icing.
Remove the rolls from the air fryer and drizzle the glaze over the top.
