WHAT YOU NEED
Add potatoes to a pot of water and bring to a boil, cook for 10 minutes until potatoes have just softened, remove from heat, drain and pat dry.
Heat oil in a pot and deep fry potato chips until golden. Place chips on paper towelling once fried to drain oil, set aside (keep them warm).
Mix together the ginger and garlic paste, chilli flakes, coriander, curry powder, cumin and salt and combine with the steak, making sure steak is well coated in the spices.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until soft, add the steak and fry for 5-6 minutes until meat is browned.
Add the grated tomato, brown sugar and brown onion soup, mix well and cook until meat is tender and sauce has thickened.
Mix sauce ingredients together and cut open the baguette.
Spread each side of the baguette with the sauce, add a layer of lettuce, tomato and cucumber, then a layer of chips and finish with the steak and steak sauce and add cheese. Close sandwich and enjoy!
