Gutted. When I was at school I wanted a dog, he had to be a bulldog and he would be called Charlie Brown. I legit wrote a song about him whilst I was in varsity. The power of your words I guess.

One of the first things I did when I could (financially) is I went and got myself the dog of my dreams. He was perfect. Exactly how I pictured and over the years we truly became best friends …
He was in a car ad, an ambassador for doggy treats and my trusted sous chef. He was my wife’s companion when I was on tour and recently became known as the grumpy goat of the house … I believe it was due to the kids being the centre of attention but nonetheless he was always kind and a true best friend.
I had to put him down due to a serious health condition and couldn’t bear seeing suffer anymore. I know how many of you loved seeing snaps of him on my socials and even though to some he might be ‘just a dog’ to me he was so much more. I can’t believe he is gone and had no idea it would have such an impact on me. He had a good life tho … a true legend … rest in eternal Biltong and endless supply of apples my little homie. Will never forget what you meant to me … ❤️

Love you for always Charlie boy. Our first baby.
You gave us our first taste of potty training, bottle feeding and helicopter parenting. Hahaha
